This 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Anniversary Edition is finished in Silver Arrow over black Designo Exclusive leather, and it is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-folding hardtop, Active Body Control suspension, 19″ AMG wheels, bi-xenon headlights, Parktronic, heated and ventilated multi-contour front seats, Keyless-GO, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a Bose sound system. The car was first delivered to Crown Mercedes-Benz in Dublin, Ohio, and was acquired by its current owner in California in 2005. This R230 SL65 AMG has 21k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner, a California dealer, with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean Ohio title.
The car is finished in Silver Arrow (777) and features a power-folding convertible hardtop. Additional equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, fender air vents, and AMG bodywork including a revised front spoiler, side skirts, and quad exhaust outlets.
The 19″ two-piece AMG wheels are mounted with 255/35 front and 285/35 rear Bridgestone Potenza tires showing 2014 date codes. The car features Active Body Control suspension as well as electronic stability control, Automatic Slip Control (ASR), and an AMG High Performance Braking System with cross-drilled rotors.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black Designo Exclusive leather with perforated inserts. Additional appointments include a leather-covered dashboard and center console, carbon-fiber trim, a charcoal Alcantara headliner, 50th Anniversary carpeted floor mats, heated and ventilated multi-contour seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-GO, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a Bose sound system. The seller states that a scuffed portion of the driver seat upholstery was cleaned, dyed, and buffed in preparation for the sale.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates approximately 21k miles, almost all of which were added under current ownership.
The twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter M275 V12 was factory rated at 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. The batteries, radiator cap, lower pan gasket, and oil level and temperature sensor were replaced in October 2021 when an oil change was also performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG SpeedShift five-speed automatic transmission linked to shift control buttons on the steering wheel. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Ohio and California through its last entry in September 2004.
